Priory Infant School is looking for a fantastic and enthusiastic full time teacher for a Year 2 class this September.

We are looking for someone who is:

skilled and experienced in teaching across the infant age range
able to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all children within the classroom
committed to children's learning and to making a real difference to every child
able to meet all the teacher standards confidently and consistently
a good team member
friendly, open and caring, who believes the glass is half full, not half empty!
prepared to take on a subject leadership role with dedicated time give for this role
skilled in positive behaviour managment strategies

Information about the school

Priory Infant School is a two-form entry school in the heart of the seaside town of Ramsgate. Built 30 years ago, the school features six spacious classrooms and an extension that provides additional SEND and small-group rooms. We are fortunate to have extensive outdoor space, including a dedicated wildlife area with a pond and a thriving vegetable plot.

We are proud to be a school that embraces the Thrive Approach, using it to support the emotional and social development of all our children. This approach underpins our ethos: that every child should feel safe, understood, and ready to learn. Strong partnerships with parents and carers are central to this work and play a vital role in our school community.

Our dedicated team of staff provides a supportive, caring environment where children are encouraged to be independent, resilient, creative, and adventurous in their learning, and aspirational in their lives.

The school serves a mixed catchment area, resulting in a wonderfully diverse cohort. Around 17% of our pupils receive SEND support during their time with us, and approximately 50% are eligible for Pupil Premium funding.
