Win ‘Animaltastic!’ & ‘Bugnificent!’ Books For Your Kent School: T&Cs

You could win a set of brand-new books for a school in Kent of your choosing by commenting on any of our competition posts! Here’s what to do:

1) Visit the Facebook launch post HERE or any other competition content on our social media channels.

2) Enter the competition by telling us (in one full sentence or more) either:

    A) What you enjoy about working in a school, college or nursery.

    Or

    B) Why you love living in Kent.

3) You're done! Wait to see if you're a winner.

The winner will choose a Kent-based school to receive two sets of Kent-based author and teacher Anna-Maria McLean’s books ‘Animaltastic!’ and ‘Bugnificent!’. Plus, not only that, Kent-Teach will organise the hand-delivery of the prize by the author herself, who will give a reading and hold a Q&A!

Competition closes on Wednesday 11th October 2023 at 10:00am. If you win, we’ll contact you via messenger on the same day to confirm your chosen Kent-based school and arrange hand-delivery of the prize with the recipient Kent-based school. Terms & Conditions apply.

Terms & Conditions:

1. Open to UK residents only. Entrants do not need to be education staff in order to enter.

2. Entrants must be 18 or over. 

3. Competition opens at 4:00pm GMT on Wednesday 4th October 2023 and closes at 10:00am GMT on Wednesday 11th October 2023. Entries made after this time will not be counted.

4. One entry per user. You can however still enter if you are an education staff member and other members of staff from your Kent-based school have already entered. Multiple entries from one person will not be counted. 

5. Entries to be made via the comments on any competition posts on the Kent-Teach social media channels.

6. Entries must contain a statement about either what the entrant enjoy about working in a school, college or nursery, or why they love living in Kent. Entries of differing context will not be counted. Entries must be one full sentence or more.

7. Entries containing inappropriate, offensive, or abusive imagery or language will not be counted. 

8. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition. 

9. The prize is as stated: New paperback copies of Anna-Maria McLean’s ‘Animaltastic!’ and ‘Bugnificent!’ books for one Kent-based educational facility, selected by the winner. The Kent-based educational facility will have the books hand-delivered by the author, with a book-reading and Q&A session. No cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.

10. Entrants may tag their chosen Kent-based educational facility in their entry, but this is not a requirement of the competition.

11. Kent-Teach reserves the right to cancel or amend the giveaway and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Kent-Teach’s control. Any changes to the giveaway will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter. 

12. The winner will be randomly selected by an online generator, featuring entrant names, any chosen Kent-based educational facilities, comments and social media profile images. This process may be recorded and posted on our social media channels. By entering this competition, you are consenting to this.

13. The winner will be contacted via direct message after the draw on Wednesday 11th October 2023. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not provide the required details by 11:59pm on Sunday 15th October 2023, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. 

14. The winner must provide us with a Kent-based educational facility of their choosing for the books to be donated to. The books will not be sent to an individual’s home for personal use. The winner may not make amendments to the prize after arrangements have been made been made with the Kent-based school. Any requests to change the prize’s recipient or quantity, or receive a refund for the books will not be accepted.

15. Kent-Teach is not liable and will not take any responsibility for any loss, damage, or theft of the books after they have been given to the Kent-based school.

16. All entries and content may be used in future Kent-Teach features and shared wider publicly. This may include your name, profile picture and comment. By entering this competition, you are consenting to this.

17. By entering this competition, the entrant is agreeing to these terms and conditions.

18. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, or any other Social Network.
