Selling Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a new member to their staff team. Based predominately in one class in the mornings as a Teaching Assistant and across the school in the afternoons. Ideally the successful candidate will have a Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification, and will be paid at the higher rate when leading classes for PPA cover or staff absence.

Applicants should have a good standard of English and Maths as well as a good general standard of education, with an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in supporting children's learning. You will also need to be flexible, supportive and a positive team player with a sense of humour and possess excellent communication skills. Previous classroom assistant experience, including taking classes for PPA cover, is desirable. 

This will be a fixed term contract until the end of academic year on Kent Range 3 (£15628-£17188 pro-rata (review pending)) for 30 hours per week, term time only (subject to successful completion of the probationary period). For applicants holding the HLTA qualification (or higher) when asked to cover classes, pay will be at a higher rate of KR6.
