World Book Day Competition - Terms and Conditions



Kent Teachers Can Win a Set of Books Linked to their World Book Day Costume
For World Book Day this year, we’re asking you to share your best World Book Day outfit and be in with a chance of winning a set of books based on the author or book you are dressed as. This could be your outfit from years gone by or from this year.

1) Visit the Facebook and Instagram competition post 
2) Comment with a picture of your World Book Day outfit (tagging optional!).
3) You're done! Wait to see if you’re a winner.

Competition closes on Friday 8th March at 4.30pm. If your nominee wins, we’ll contact you via your direct messages on your winning entries' social media platform (or comment on your post asking you to get in touch if we are unable to contact you by message)on the same day to confirm and arrange the delivery of the prize. When contacted, winning entrants must be able to provide the name and the address of their Kent school to receive their prize.
Once we have received the contact details of the winning teacher, we will provide them with the details of the prize (delivery date and information about the book set they have won). 

Terms & Conditions:
1) Open to UK residents only.
2) Entrants must be 18 or over.
3) Competition opens at 8pm GMT on Monday 4th March 2024 and closes at 4:30pm GMT on Friday 8th March 2024. Entries made after this time will not be counted.
4) Entries to be made via the comments of the Facebook competition post on the Kent-Teach Facebook page (any and all entries on other social media platforms and the Kent School Jobs Facebook page will not be counted).
5) Multiple entries can be made per person, with the condition that each image uploaded is unique and has the consent of the individual being photographed. By submitting photos of other individuals, you acknowledge that you have the consent of that individual, they consent to their image being used on future posts and accept responsibility of providing their details should they win. 
6) Any and all responsibility of sharing images of others lies with the individual posing the image. Kent Teach are not responsible for images shared to the competition feed but should individuals see their image and want to remove it, simply comment on the image asking to be removed. 
7) Nominees must be teachers currently working in Kent schools. Entrants may be a teacher that posts on behalf of another teacher so long as they have given their consent for their image to be included and used on future posts if they win. 
8) Entrants may tag their colleagues but this is not a requirement of entry. 
9) Entries containing inappropriate, offensive, or abusive imagery or language will not be counted.
10) There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
11) The prize is as stated: A set of books linked to the winners costume as chosen by Kent Teach. This can include (but is not limited to): a set of books by the author or a set of the books the winner’s costume is from. No cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
12) Kent-Teach reserves the right to cancel or amend the giveaway and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Kent-Teach’s control. Any changes to the giveaway will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
13) The winners will be randomly selected by an online generator, featuring entrant names, comments and Facebook profile images. This process may be recorded and posted on our social media channels.
14) By entering you give permission for your image and name to be used in future posts by Kent Teach.
15) The winning entrants will be contacted via your direct messages on your winning entries' social media platform (or comment on your post asking you to get in touch if we are unable to contact you on Facebook messenger) after the draw on Friday 8th March. 
16) All entrants agree that if they win, they and their nominees may be featured and tagged on our social media channels, including their names and Facebook profile pictures.
17) Kent-Teach are not sponsored by any literary writers or distributers and have no affiliation with any publisher.
18) By entering this competition, the entrant is agreeing to these terms and conditions.
19) This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Kent-Teach and not to any other party.
