About the School

New Road Primary School is a very inclusive 1.5 form entry primary school with an integrated nursery offering up to 60 places. It is a well-established and well-liked part of the local community. Our pupils are keen to learn and our staff are very committed and hard-working.

The School draws its pupils from a diverse local community and we are proud of the work we have done to support pupils and their families from a wide variety of backgrounds. 

Our School is well-equipped and has excellent facilities. Despite its urban location, it has very good outdoor learning facilities. Facilities in classrooms are excellent and specialist IT support is strong. Sound finances have enabled us to maintain the buildings to a high standard and to plan further developments, including an extension and enhanced sports facilities.

Standards of attainment and progress continue to improve following the last OFSTED and 2014/15 looks set to continue that trend.
