Joydens Wood Junior School
Joydens Wood Junior School is located in a semi-rural setting on the outskirts of London. We are an independent Academy working in a collaborative partnership with Joydens Wood Infants School. We are a friendly and caring school with a team of enthusiastic, committed and hardworking staff.
We have 329 pupils on roll in Years 3 to 6, having moved to a 3 form entry in September 2016. As the number of pupils are increasing, we will need the building and facilities to grow in line with this expansion. Joydens Wood Junior School was judged as Good in its most recent Ofsted inspection (March 2015).
We have classroom laptops, tablet technology, interactive whiteboards in all classes, and offer many extra-curricular activities (see our website for the wide range of clubs that we offer). The large playing field and our generous outside space provides allows the children to thrive with our various sports teams being successful in many local competitions. Combined with active music, arts opportunities, performances and amazing school trips, our school offers the chance for every child to unlock their potential.
We believe in a values based education which nourishes and enables children to flourish, making a difference to the world through who and how they are. Our pupils are happy, safe and well-motivated, showing respect for themselves and others. They are proud of the high standards they reach and of how hard they work at school.
We are part of the Dartford Area Schools Consortium (DASCo) which supports collaboration between schools to enhance and improve outcomes for children in Dartford. It offers opportunities for the school to benefit from joint projects, share experience and access excellent training for staff and governors.
