SENIOR LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

 

REQUIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

 

The Norton Knatchbull School is looking for a Learning Support Assistant.  This is a permanent position 35 hours a week, term time only on Kent Range 5 - £19,528 (pro rata 0.79FTE).  The successful candidate will have experience working 1 to 1 with students within the secondary school environment and ideally will have a Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification. You will be skilled at engaging and motivating pupils who find learning a challenge and have a good understanding of specific learning difficulties including SEMH, ASD/ASC and ADHD.  There will be a Support Staff Review carried out this year which this role will fall under the aegis of.

 

An ability to interact positively with a wide range of people, including teachers, support staff, parents and students aged 11 to 18, are essential.
