We are looking to appoint a caretaker to join Aspire from 22 July 2021. 

We are looking for experienced caretaker to join our brand new, purpose-built school designed for our unique children.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, have a good understanding of the health and safety requirements of a large site and excellent communication skills. Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but is not essential.  You will need good time management and the ability to prioritise duties and work on your own initiative.  The successful candidate will ensure our school site is maintained to the highest standard that will offer all our students the best learning environment both indoors and out. We will provide necessary training as part of your initial induction.  

The successful candidate will work alongside our Premises Manager and their working schedule will be 30 hrs per week, Monday to Friday, full time. The hours of work will be 8am - 11am the from 3pm - 6pm including locking up at the end of the day.

Information about the school

Aspire School is a special free school in Sittingbourne for children aged from 4 to 11 years; opened in September 2020. The school provides 168 places for pupils with autism and speech and language needs. Aspire School will provide exceptional specialist teaching from a team of specialist teachers, teaching assistants and other professionals. The new premises have been specifically designed to meet the needs of the children and will include therapy rooms, a high tech sensory room, soft play and a swing room. The curriculum will reflect the individual needs of the pupils and will offer opportunities for academic learning and the development of communication, life skills and personalised targets.
