Information about the school

Our nurturing and inclusive school is in Selling, a small village situated between the historic market town of Faversham and the village of Sheldwich in Kent. It benefits from good access from Faversham, Canterbury and Ashford. Equally, we are lucky to be surrounded by orchards and beautiful views of The Downs which further enrich our curriculum and pastoral offer. We seek to offer our children a holistic, rich and exciting learning experience which encourages them to grow into independent and curious learners.

Selling C of E Primary School is part of Our Community Multi Academy Trust which means we are able to share expertise with our other schools, including best practice and resources, allowing us to raise achievement and standards.

Our school vision statement: ROOTED IN VALUES, READY FOR LIFE

Our nurturing and inclusive school follows Jesus’ example by knowing and celebrating every individual and serving our local community. Our holistic, rich and exciting learning experience promotes reflection and challenge through exploration and questioning, enabling all to flourish and grow to become outward looking, respectful and compassionate citizens of the world.

Our values:

We aim to teach our Christian values; Perseverance, Compassion, Forgiveness and Umunthu ('i am because we are', 'you are human just like I am') throughout the curriculum and as part of our everyday school lives. All Christian values are promoted and celebrated and our pupil Christian Ambassadors help lead and model them throughout the school.

Selling C of E Primary is a calm, friendly and happy place where we aim for all children to enjoy learning and achieve great things.

As a school, we have high expectations for all our pupils. We are adaptive and inclusive and support our pupils in becoming responsible for their learning. We are fortunate to have Forest School experiences off site for all our pupils.
