We are advertising for a Communication Support Worker, to work with children who have specific difficulties with hearing. This is for children who will be starting in EYFS in September 2021. The suitable applicant will need to be BSL Level 2 qualified or above. They will need to have experience in using Sign Supported English.

The Primary focus of the post will be to work under the professional direction of a teacher as part of the professional team to support learning activities for pupils who are profoundly deaf.

The post holder will be expected to progress pupils’ learning and to assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment as agreed with the teacher. 

For the principal accountabilities please see the attached job description, as there will be specific roles and responsibilities for the children in question as well as the wider Foundation Stage group.
