Grove Park Academies is a small Trust currently consisting of two schools, one mainstream primary and one special school.

The trust is looking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Trust Business Manager to join our supportive, hardworking and dedicated team. This is a strategic role in the trust with significant financial management responsibility and oversight of personnel, school premises, and health and safety, all of which sit within a Central Service Team. You be part of the schools’ Leadership Team, working in partnership with the Executive Headteacher supporting the Headteacher’s of the other schools in the Trust. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills in a vibrant and creative school. You will lead the Central Services team, which includes a range of professionals working across the Trust and will have the opportunity to work with and support the other schools. The Central Services are run from the main stream Primary in Sittingbourne, but both schools are in close proximity.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of financial management and budgetary control in schools or a similar environment, an understanding of Academy finances and the requirements set out by the ESFA are desirable.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of HR/payroll, health and safety & facilities management.
  • Possesses good IT skills, including Microsoft Office good understanding of accounting packages and the capacity to learn new systems is essential and a working knowledge of SIMs.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership and management skills, including experience of line management.
