Are you looking for a part-time role which will use your practical and technical skills? Are you able to work flexibly to provide a safe environment for the learning of our pupils with profound, severe and complex needs including autism?
The school is looking to welcome a new Caretaker to our friendly Sixth Form. This exciting role offers the support of our dedicated Facilities Team, combined with independent work, providing maintenance and security at the sixth form site in Sittingbourne. We are looking for candidates with great teamwork skills, an understanding of Health and Safety procedures and a positive approach to children and young adults with special needs. Some experience of working in a school would be an advantage, though not essential, as training will be given.
Kent Range 3, £9.35 per hour, 10 hours per week, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), term time only, 39 weeks per year.

We serve pupils with profound, severe and complex needs, including autism. The school is comprised of Lower School, which includes our Observation and Assessment Nursery called Honey Bees, Secondary Department, and 6th Form.
We currently serve pupils from the ages of three to nineteen, and pupil numbers are set to increase rapidly over the next year and beyond as we add more classes. The Meadowfield Inclusion Development and Support (MIDAS) Centre is our highly regarded inclusion and outreach service which successfully supports over 60 schools and 70 settings across Swale, increasing capacity to meet the needs of pupils with additional needs.
Across the school we have over 240 members of staff ranging from class based support staff, teachers, the Inclusion Team, Office and Admin Staff, Site Staff, ICT Department as well as our Leadership and Management Team.
