SCIENCE TECHNICIAN

Required as soon as possible

This is a permanent post, 37 hours per week, term time only.  It is paid on Kent Range 4 - £17,361 (pro rata: £14,317).  This is a vital role within a successful team and key tasks are to prepare practical lessons and support science teachers.  The successful applicant will have a good level of organisation and the ability to manage time effectively.  He/she would also be flexible, mindful of health and safety issues and possess excellent interpersonal skills.  A degree of computer literacy would be required for the role and an interest in Chemistry, Biology or Physics is essential.

Information about the school

The Norton Knatchbull has a rich and long history. Set up over 350 years ago as Ashford Grammar School by Sir Norton Knatchbull. 7 FE grammar school with girls in 6th form. Students well motivated, pleasant and able. Kent Grammar Schools admit the top 25% of the ability range. Relationships with KCC and all local schools is exceptionally good. Ashford is an expanding market and railway town, unemployment very low, housing in Ashford reasonably priced.
