At Ripplevale School, we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and resilient Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide Wellbeing support for students, through individual/group sessions and classroom support. You will provide support for students’ welfare and all aspects of their social, emotional and communication outcomes through a trauma informed lens,  to enhance their wellbeing and opportunity to achieve learning.

As a Wellbeing HLTA you will provide 1:1 and Small Group Support and work directly using  a trauma informed approach, evidence based programmes and strategies with individuals who need extra help with emotional regulation, focus, and social engagement.

If you are passionate about working with pupils with ASD, then this role is for you. The post is full time Monday to Friday 8.30 – 3.45, term time only, plus 70 inset hours which presently includes Tuesday early evening twilight sessions.

Ripplevale School is an independent day special school for pupils aged from 6 to 18 years old who have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan) with a diagnosis of ASD, often with associated conditions.

Ripplevale School is situated over two sites. Ripplevale Lower School is situated in Broadstairs, teaching a Primary provision and Ripplevale Upper School is based in the village of Ripple near Deal, with our Secondary and Post 16 provision.

We have a committed and dedicated team which includes teachers, teaching assistants, higher level teaching assistants, a range of therapists, administrative staff and support staff. All play a significant role in the education and development of each pupil and work to create a warm, informal, friendly atmosphere in which the pupils feel secure, safe and confident.

Safeguarding & Child Protection

Ripplevale School is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to:

Have an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and the successful candidate, as per KCSIE, will also be subjected to have an online search undertaken, this is also considered for all shortlisted candidates.
