At St George’s Church of England Foundation School, we are seeking to appoint a talented practitioner to the role of Teacher of Drama (with English) and Second in Charge (TLR 2b).  There is one position available, with leadership responsibility tailored to the successful candidate.

Location & facilities
Located in Broadstairs, Thanet, with modern facilities and a vibrant learning environment.

Your role

You will:

  • Teach Drama across KS3
  • Teach English at KS3 and KS4 
  • Support the development and growth of Drama across the school, with plans to expand to GCSE and A Level in the future
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment
  • Model excellent classroom practice and high expectations

TLR 2b responsibility (one role)

The successful candidate will lead one of the following:

Coaching & Professional Development

  • Lead instructional coaching and CPD
  • Mentor Early Career Teachers and new staff
  • Promote evidence-informed teaching
  • Improve teaching consistency and outcomes

OR

Personal Development

  • Lead PSHE, RSHE, Citizenship and Character Education
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and resilience
  • Develop enrichment and pupil leadership opportunities
  • Support engagement, behaviour and inclusion

What we’re looking for

  • A qualified teacher with a relevant degree
  • Strong subject knowledge in Drama and English
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Leadership potential and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and school values
