Richmond Academy are looking for an experienced Office Manager. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the school Admin Officer to ensure the school runs efficiently.  The role is supported by the Trust Admin Lead and People Services

The successful applicant should be enthusiastic and hardworking. You will be expected to ensure a welcoming, professional reception to all children, parents, carers, staff and visitors therefore excellent customer service and communication skills are essential. Candidates will need to be positive, highly confidential with all matters, have a professional attitude, be well organised, highly flexible and have excellent inter-personal skills.

You will be responsible for supporting the administration associated with school admissions, attendance and some data management. There is also an element of electronic filing to support the HR department. While office experience is desirable, particularly in a school setting, we are looking for someone with a positive attitude and strong work ethic, as a full induction and training will be provided with ongoing support.

We wish to appoint someone who has:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A friendly, flexible and professional approach, particularly when multi-tasking under pressure.
  • Experience of working within an office environment, preferably a school setting. A good working knowledge of office management systems such as Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Experience of leading/managing a team and working collaboratively
  • A working knowledge of Arbor (similar to SIMS) is a significant advantage, although training and support will be provided to the suitable candidate.
  • The ability to prioritise workload to ensure office systems operate efficiently for the smooth running of the school.
  • You will have a positive approach to working with children and a commitment to our safeguarding procedures.

The role is:

  • Term time working plus 10 extra days during school holiday periods (to be agreed with Line Manager)
  • 37 hours a week - Monday to Friday
  • Pro rata'd KSD salary approximately £23,595 per year
