Headteacher - Greatstone Primary School & Nursery

The Governing Body of the Lightyear Federation is seeking an exceptional and inspiring Headteacher to lead Greatstone Primary School & Nursery. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary and values-driven leader to build on the strengths of our school and guide it confidently into its next stage of development. The role is an opportunity for a proven exceptional deputy aspiring to start their career as a head teacher and work with the community, staff and governors to lead on inclusive nurture driven school.

As Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Greatstone Primary School & Nursery, inspiring pupils and staff alike. You will work closely with the Governing Body and the wider federation leadership team to provide strong strategic direction and ensure that the school continues to develop and thrive.

We Are Looking For a Headteacher Who:

  • Has a clear and compelling vision for high-quality primary education that prioritises pupils’ learning, wellbeing and personal development
  • Has experience of improving teaching and learning through coaching, professional development and effective performance management
  • Has a secure understanding of the EYFS and primary curriculum and a commitment to providing a broad and ambitious curriculum for all pupils
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge and leadership of safeguarding, ensuring that pupils are safe, supported and able to thrive
  • Has a deep commitment to inclusion, with an understanding of SEND, SEMH and the importance of nurturing environments
  • Can use assessment and data intelligently to inform strategic planning and drive improvement
  • Has the organisational and operational skills to manage staffing, resources and school priorities effectively
  • Can build positive and trusting relationships with families, governors and external partners
