Following the promotion of the current post holder to a larger school, we are seeking an inspirational Headteacher for our lovely school. About the Role

As Headteacher, you will provide strategic leadership and direction, ensuring high-quality education for all pupils. You will work closely with the Governing Body, Aquila Trust and the Diocese of Canterbury to uphold our Christian vision, drive school improvement, and sustain a positive and inclusive school culture where every member of the community feels valued.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is a committed, practising Christian with a strong understanding of Christian education and leadership of worship.
  • Has Qualified Teacher Status and significant leadership experience with a proven impact on school improvement.
  • Has completed NPQH or is committed to this training
  • Leads with integrity, creativity, clarity and resilience.
  • Inspires and motivates pupils, staff and parents, building strong relationships across the school and wider community.
  • Has a thorough understanding of safeguarding and statutory responsibilities.
  • Is passionate about enriching pupils’ lives and promoting a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Active involvement in a Christian church community is desirable.

St Laurence CE Junior Academy has 125 pupils and is a one/two form entry junior school with a distinctive Christian character. Our school’s vision:
