St Laurence CE Junior Academy has 156 pupils and is a one/two form entry junior school with a distinctive Christian character. Our school’s vision:

We promote a values-led, nurture based education which means that we provide a high level of pastoral care to ensure that all our children achieve well. Our children come from all sorts of different backgrounds. Our parents, friends, Governors and local church provide support and we collaborate with local schools very successfully. Pupils are encouraged to be aspirational, to develop a lifelong love of learning, and to become well-rounded, happy children. The school offers a wide variety of extra-curricular clubs which provides our children with additional experiences. St Laurence provides a network of support for families that need it and it is praised in the community for being a caring school.

St Laurence CE Junior Academy is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all trustees, staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service along with other relevant employment checks, online recruitment checks and overseas criminal background checks, where applicable. All new trustees, employees and volunteers will be required to undertake safeguarding training on induction which will be regularly updated in line with statutory guidance.
