Teaching Assistant at The John Wesley CEM Primary School

We are looking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a strong, supportive team within our popular, successful school. We are a strong inclusive school, with a positive and supportive ethos. The post will be for 31.25 hours a week (5 days a week, 8.30 – 3.15 with a 30 minutes lunch break and a 30 minute lunch duty, term-time only). We would also consider part-time for the right candidate.

We would like to recruit a dynamic teaching assistant to join our happy, friendly and dedicated team in The John Wesley CEM Primary School. We are looking for an TA, especially if you are experienced in KS1 or SEN learning, ELSA or nurture support to work with a range of children.  We need you to be highly motivated and committed to promoting learning opportunities as a class TA whilst also considering some individual children's needs and emotional well-being.

The ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet; working both independently and as part of the team, to promote and demonstrate resilience and flexibility as a positive role model for our children. It is essential that the applicant has good English/Maths skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates to become fully involved in supporting learning and whole class teaching.

The John Wesley Church of England & Methodist Primary School is a two-form mainstream primary school with currently 430 pupils. We are also extremely fortunate to have a Specialist Resource Provision for SLCN.
