The John Wesley CEM Primary School

The John Wesley Church of England & Methodist Primary School is a two-form mainstream primary school with currently 430 pupils. We are also extremely fortunate to have a Specialist Resource Provision for SLCN. At The John Wesley CEM Primary School, we provide a broad and balanced education for all the children within our care. We aim to create a happy, nurturing and stimulating learning environment in which all the children can grow in self-esteem and fulfil their potential. We believe every pupil should be able to participate in all school activities in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from harm.

We have a team of dedicated and committed teachers, support staff and governors and a strong relationship with our local Diocesan church, Methodist church and our local community. The behaviour and attitudes displayed by our pupils are very good and we work closely with parents to provide the best possible opportunities for our children. We are proud of our positive and caring ethos through which all our pupils are encouraged to reach their full potential.

Our children and families are at the centre of everything we do. In our inclusive and unique learning community with two distinctive Christian Foundations, every experience enables all to flourish as individuals so we thrive together as God intended. We are blessed with beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces which we use fully to play and learn, nurturing one another mentally, physically, emotionally, academically and spiritually. We strive for our school community to keep being compassionate, loving, kind, responsible citizens who act wisely and keep giving.
