Job Title: After School Club Leader
Location: Elham Church of England Primary School, Vicarage Ln, Elham, Canterbury CT4 6TT

Are you passionate about creating fun, safe, and nurturing environments for children? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Club Supervisor to join our team and provide engaging wrap-around care for our primary school children.

About the Role

  • Supervise and positively engage with children during play and planned activities.
  • Confidently establish professional boundaries and guide children’s behaviour in line with the school’s Behaviour Policy and club expectations.
  • Lead after-school club care with a commitment to safeguarding and protecting children.
  • Demonstrate patience, care, and a nurturing approach at all times.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and carers, ensuring safe collection and drop-off procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to support individual children’s developmental needs.
  • Maintain records and follow club procedures, adhering to the school’s Behaviour Policy, Safeguarding Policy, Staff Code of Conduct, and Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.

  • Experience in education, childcare, out-of-school care, or youth work.
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A fun, energetic, and responsible approach to working with children.
  • Behaviour management skills based on respect and compassion, in line with our school values and ethos.
