Danecourt School is a Primary Special School seeking an inspirational teacher to become our Early Years & Satellite Lead, working across our main site and our Danecourt@Featherby provision. This is a key leadership role, combining high-quality teaching with strategic responsibility for EYFS development.

About the Role

As part of our skilled and passionate EYFS team, you will help shape exceptional early years practice for pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism and communication differences. You will lead our EYFS approach across both sites and teach a Reception class within a nurturing, child-centred setting.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage the Early Years curriculum across the school and satellite provision

  • Support, develop and coach staff to ensure high-quality teaching

  • Lead, organise and monitor assessment across EYFS

  • Work closely with the leadership team to strengthen EYFS provision

  • Provide consistently high-quality teaching in your Reception class

  • Ensure a positive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive

  • Contribute to the wider strategic development of Danecourt

This is a unique opportunity to lead practice at a specialist level while remaining closely connected to the joy of classroom teaching.

  • Skilled at leading, motivating and developing others

  • Knowledgeable about high-quality early years practice

  • Committed to inclusion, high expectations and child-centred learning

  • Able to think creatively and work collaboratively

Leadership experience is desirable but not essential if you can demonstrate strong potential.
