FULL TIME TERM TIME - FOREST SCHOOL LEAD/HLTA

We are looking for applications for a Forest School Lead/HLTA to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team of staff.  At St Margaret Clitherow, we work together to bring exciting learning experiences to the children inside our welcoming classrooms and outside in our amazing outdoor environment.   

We now have an opening for an applicant with experience in working with children across a Primary school who has a caring and positive outlook, and are able to work alongside teachers to support individuals, small groups, and whole classes to enable the child to learn to the best of their abilities and develop independence, whilst promoting our Christian ethos. An applicant who can plan and facilitate engaging, fun and educational Forest School sessions, adhering to strong safeguarding and safety regulations.  Whilst we are a Catholic Primary School, we accept applications from other faiths and non-faith individuals.

We are looking for a full time (Monday to Friday), HLTA (am) and Forest School Lead (pm), term time only.  The working hours are 8.45am – 3.15pm daily.  We offer a pro rata salary on KSD (£26,393 -£27,713) dependant on experience.

Information about the school

St Margaret Clitherow is a Catholic primary school with 367 pupils on roll. It is situated on the northern edge of Tonbridge. The catchment area consists of Tonbridge, Southborough, Hidenborough, Paddock Wood and surrounding villages. In August 2014 it became an academy as part of the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership - a multi academy trust. From September 2018 the school has entered into a shared leadership model with St Margaret Clitherow, St Augustine's, Tunbridge Wells, St Thomas', Sevenoaks and the KCSP Teaching School Alliance. Fiona Oubridge is our Headteacher. There are 14 class bases - 2 in Early Years, 4 in KS1 (2 in Year 1 and 2 in Year 2), LKS2 (2 in Year 3 and 2 in Year 4) and UKS2 (2 in Year 5 and 2 in Year 6) as well as a school hall, Gallery, library and sanctuary area. Children in the Foundation Stage are taught in small groups by members of the Early Years Team, in KS1 and KS2 children are taught in year groups for all subjects.
