Are you an experienced Arbor user? Do you thrive on making systems work smarter and more efficiently for schools? We’re looking for someone just like you to strengthen our team with someone who brings an expertise in Arbor MIS and school data management. We seek to appoint someone with:

✅ Several years of hands-on experience using Arbor

✅ A strong track record of managing, analysing, and reporting on school data

✅ Ideally, an understanding of SEN (Special Educational Needs) data or experience working in a SEN school environment

 About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Arbor MIS Specialist to support and enhance our use of our Arbor Management Information System. This is a flexible opportunity for someone with a strong background in school data management to help us improve how we collect, manage, and use data - particularly in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting.

Working hours and salary are subject to discussion and will be determined based on the experience and suitability of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and maintain the school’s Arbor MIS platform, ensuring effective use, data accuracy, functionality, and compliance.
  • Configure and optimise Arbor modules (e.g. attendance, behaviour, assessments, communications)
  • Lead on data reporting and analysis, including custom reports and dashboards for SLT, staff, and governors, and lead or support in data meetings.
  • Support statutory returns including school census and DfE submissions
  • Provide training and support to staff on Arbor usage and best practices
  • Collaborate with leadership and admin teams to improve data workflows and decision-making
  • Assisting with curriculum data, timetabling support, and student enrolments
  • Support the integration and management of SEN data, EHCPs, and provision mapping
  • Act main point of contact, as the School Data Protection Lead, for data protection matters,

 What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience using Arbor MIS in a school or trust setting
  • Strong understanding of school data processes and statutory requirements
  • Proven ability to manage and analyse complex data sets
  • Experience supporting staff and stakeholders in using MIS systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Desirable

  • Experience working in or supporting SEN schools
  • Familiarity with SEN data and provision tracking
  • Skills in Power BI, Excel, or other data analysis tools
  • Experience with data migrations and system transitions
