Are you a dynamic and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant seeking a new and rewarding role where you can make a difference, who also has a passion for sport and PE.

Are you searching for an opportunity that offers you variety and the chance to make a significant and positive impact to the way that children learn and engage? If your answer is yes, then we would love to hear from you!

This exciting and varied opening has arisen for a talented and committed individual to join our school to work with our pupils in order to reduce the gaps in their learning, whilst providing them with the confidence to re-engage in the school setting.

You will achieve this through the delivery of targeted programmes that engage and support with pupils’ development and improve academic outcomes.

To be successful in this role you will have:

A minimum of five Level 2 qualifications including English and Mathematics (GCSE or the equivalent).

  • Previous experience of working at a HLTA level with children of secondary school age. Having worked with pupils with challenging behaviour would be beneficial.
  • Experience of using problem solving techniques and approaches when working with children and the ability to persuade, inspire and motivate pupils.

Pupils follow a curriculum that is varied and includes core subjects alongside a dynamic programme of PHSE activities that develop their transferable skills and allow them to understand the world around them.

This role is pivotal to ensuring a significant impact on the school and its pupils: enabling the pupils to build self-esteem, confidence and resilience, pupils are more likely to be successful in their education and not become NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) in the future.

We welcome and encourage visits to our school prior to application.  To arrange your visit please contact either Stacie Smith, Headteacher or Stuart Radlett, School Business Manager on 01622 753772.
