We now have a fantastic opportunity to assist in developing our Woodlands Education and Outdoor learning programme from our 10-acre woodlands area. If you are looking to join a new, highly dedicated team in a challenging and rewarding environment, we would love to hear from you!

We welcome applicants from a Formal Education background and a Forest Education and Outdoor learning environment.

Overview

At King's Reach Woodlands, we provide education and learning opportunities for SEN students aged 11 to 25, including those with Complex Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviour. Situated on our 10-acre woodland site, we are starting to develop new qualifications and courses customised for SEN students.

The Woodlands Tutor will support our Woodlands Manager in delivering qualifications, managing small groups, and overseeing woodland maintenance. Your role will involve teaching and supporting students in our outdoor learning projects and activities. You will design and deliver engaging outdoor lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles, nurturing confidence and self-esteem in students who require additional support.

An understanding of the importance of safeguarding the health and well-being of all pupils within the woodlands is essential.  The successful candidate will uphold the charity’s policies and procedures regarding child protection and safeguarding.

  • To mentor, coach and facilitate learning for specific young people.
  • To explore vocational qualifications for Forest Outdoors Education and outdoor learning.
  • To deliver bespoke woodland qualifications.
