The Gateway Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join the great staff team at this popular one form entry school.

The post will involve working within Year 5 and Year 6 and as a midday supervisor. Expertise in working with high attaining pupils and vulnerable pupils with emotional needs is essential. The candidate will be committed to supporting children in reaching their full potential both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good standard of education (minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths)
  • Experience of supporting pupils in upper Key Stage 2
  • Planning and delivering interventions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A good understanding of children's emotional needs and development
  • A friendly, caring, understanding approach with a good sense of humour
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a supportive team

Hours of work: 8.30am to 3.00pm, term time only.
