SEND MANAGER VACANCY - Permanent Position

Required for support across all Key Stages

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, term time + 5 training days

Salary: Kent Range 7 (£22,022 actual starting salary/£25,378 full time equivalent)

St John's Catholic Comprehensive School is seeking to recruit an experienced, hardworking, and proactive practitioner for the role of SEND Manager, who will be assigned to work with the SENCO in supporting and managing SEND students across all key stages.  The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the students' welfare and behaviour, assisting with SEND documentation and attending various professional and parental meetings.

Our new SEND Manager will need to be a confident, professional and approachable communicator, as they will be liaising with external and internal stakeholders; including staff, students, parents/carers, professionals and the wider community.  The successful applicant will also need to have good time management skills, be able to meet deadlines, be empathetic, and have a flexible approach as priorities could change at short notice.

St John's is a successful co-ed Catholic Comprehensive School with over 1300 pupils, including over 300 students in our Sixth Form.  There are currently 201 students on our SEND register, 36 of whom have an EHCP.  We have a very strong Catholic ethos and pride ourselves in being a warm and welcoming community, soemthing that was externally recognised in our recent Section 48 Inspection of Janaury 2020, where we acheived "Outstanding Catholic School"status.
