Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher? King’s Reach, located in Maidstone, Kent, is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our innovative educational community. Position Overview: Special Educational Needs Teacher As a Special Educational Needs Teacher at King’s Reach, you will play a pivotal role in crafting the 'Future Me' curriculum. Tailor individual lessons to meet the unique needs of students aged 11–25. Your creativity in teaching is crucial to guide and support these young individuals in social and emotional growth, as well as achieving academic potential. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and tailor individual lessons within the 'Future Me' curriculum to support students' social and emotional skill development while aiming for academic excellence. 
  • Work one-to-one with students and in small groups, fostering an innovative and creative learning environment that addresses specific needs and supports academic progress. 
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement teaching strategies that engage and empower students with special educational needs in both academic and personal growth. 

Additional Requirement: The successful candidate may be required to pick students up from their homes. This car journey serves as a valuable chance to build relationships and mentor the student towards their ‘Future Me’. 

Desired Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Qualified teacher status with experience or a keen interest in special educational needs. 
  • Creativity in teaching methodologies, adapting and tailoring lessons for both social and emotional development and academic achievement. 
  • Passionate about contributing to an innovative educational community with a Christian ethos.
