The Gateway Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join the great staff team at this popular one form entry school.

The post will involve working as a midday supervisor and then 1:1 with a pupil delivering personalised curriculum plans and emotional well being programmes. Expertise in working with vulnerable pupils with emotional and behavioural needs is essential as well as a commitment to supporting children in reaching their full potential both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good standard of education (minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths)
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEN in EYFS and Key Stage 1
  • Expertise in supporting pupils with behavioural needs such as ASD/ADHD
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A good understanding of children's emotional needs and development
  • A friendly, caring, understanding approach with a good sense of humour
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a supportive team

Hours of work: 15 hours a week (12:00 - 3pm), term time only.
