We are looking to appoint a Family Liaison Officer for 15 hours per week, term time only (preferably Mon/Wed/Fri, but this is negotiable)

The person we are looking for to join our happy and successful school will have:

Good interpersonal and organisational skills
A proactive approach to supporting children and families
The ability to work as part of a team
An understanding of the support available from outside agencies.

and who will:

Establish and foster good relationships with parents and carers
Encourage parental involvement in the school and its activities
Share information on practical childcare and parenting skills, including how to meet the emotional needs of children
Support children and families with regard to personal difficulties and signpost as appropriate

Herne C.E. (Aided) Junior School is a well-respected and oversubscribed school in the village of Herne.

Most of our children join us from our local infant school.
