WANTED - Head of School!

Are you an inspirational, dedicated and caring leader?

Do you have what it takes to manage a large staff team and drive standards forward?

Are you passionate about the education of 'all children' and ensuring that they flourish, no matter what barriers they may have?

Are you TEAM Minster?

If so, you may be the person we are looking for!

This post requires an experienced leader - it would ideally suit a current HOS in a smaller school setting looking to broaden their experience or an experienced Deputy Headteacher with whole school leadership experience. However, all applications are welcome and will be considered against the job description and person specification.

You will be required to be an operational leader of Minster C of E Primary School, assuming responsibility for the day-to-day running of the school. You will also be part of a wider leadership team and contribute to the development of the Federation of Minster and Monkton Schools.

Candidates must have the gravitas and emotional literacy to manage a large staff who are already a close working team. You need to embody the TEAM Minster philosophy to be considered a genuine contender for the role and showcase this in everything that you do.

Candidates should be a 'leader of learning' and have strong experience in all subject areas of the curriculum, especially English, Maths and RE.

A fully inclusive attitude and approach is essential for the role and a strong knowledge of supporting children with SEND and those with Pupil Premium would be advantageous.

We work hard at Minster and there can be many challenges, but we still know how to make work a fun place to be and humour is a key component to this. Through this approach, we support 'well-being' in our everyday practice. Our school is full of like-minded people, driven by wanting the very best for our pupils, but who can have fun and enjoy the journey - this is the driving force behind everything we do.

A full job description is attached and applicants should highlight their experience against this in their personal statement.

A school tour and discussion with the Executive Headteacher is a must for anyone serious about applying for the post.
