We are looking to recruit an Assistant Headteacher with leadership responsibility for Teaching and Learning and a core subject (to be mutally agreed)

This is a challenging and important post requiring someone of the highest calibre. The successful candidate must have the ability to support and work with the Headteacher and SLT in all aspects of school improvement. With key responsibility to sustain and develop our Inclusive Ethos.

Salary is on the the Leadership Scale L1 - L5 (depending on experience)

Herne C.E. (Aided) Junior School is a well-respected and oversubscribed school in the village of Herne.

Our parents recognise our Christian distinctiveness and state, ‘The school offers a homely environment for our children to learn’. This is supported by our SIAM’s inspection.

We are a large 3 form entry Junior School, which benefits from extensive playing fields, a MUGA and beautiful surroundings.

Most of our children join us from our local infant school.

Our children are happy, keen and talented, not just academically, but musically and through sports.
