We are looking for a highly skilled Learning Partner to join our excellent team.

This is a part-time appointment (30hrs per week - term time only) 8.55am to 3.25pm, Monday to Friday. Kent Range 3 £19,293 FTE, pro-rata £13168.72.  There is the possibility for negotiation of hours.

The successful candidate will work primarily in the classroom alongside the class teacher, or lead small groups working towards specific learning targets or as a one to one supporting a child with specific needs. You would also be expected to support and encourage appropriate learning behaviours and attitudes.

The successful candidate would be; willing to commit to the Catholic ethos of the school, willing to go the 'extra mile' for our children, enthusiastic and hardworking with good organisation skills, committed to promoting high standards of behaviour, attainment and progress, a good team worker with a sense of humour, empathy, understanding and an excellent communicator. 

Experience of working with children in an educational setting is desirable along with:

- good English and Mathematical skills

- flexibility and use of initiative

- strong communication skills

- the ability to work alongside as part of a team

- patience and understanding of the ways different children learn

- a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The successful candidate may be required to support the learning of a child with specific needs and will need to be highly adaptable and willing to try many different approaches to achieve learning goals.  They would also need to be flexible and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.

The role includes supervision of children’s play at breaktime and lunchtime.
