We are looking for a skilled, experienced and enthusiastic Forest School Practitioner to develop and deliver an exciting new Forest School programme to our pupils. The Practitioner will be self-motivated and a good communicator, able to confidently liaise with other staff,  and engage groups of children ranging in age from 4 to 11.  

This is a brand new role to the school, so we are looking for somebody with the drive and initiative to take the lead from the start, including taking responsibility for the development of the Forest School area; and liaising with the leadership team to plan and develop the provision for children.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have good communication skills, high expectations and be a skilful and adventurous practitioner
  • Be self-reflective, keen to continually learn and develop their role
  • Have a good knowledge of health and safety, including the risk assessment process
  • Have energy and the determination to make a difference
  • Be collaborative and open-minded, willing to both share and try new ideas 
  • Have a good sense of humour

The post is 34 hours per week for 40 weeks of the year. This is generally term time, with some flexibility to support a holiday club. The salary is Kent Range 6 (£21,801 – £23,262 FTE) per annum, but please note this is pro rata.
