Teaching is an essential profession that deserves respect. Teachers launch careers, build confidence and are behind the next generation of superstars. But we also have to acknowledge that it's very tough, and many people are cynical about teaching as a career.
Our '#ImInCharge Campaign' which ran earlier this year was designed to inspire 11 to 16 year olds. It was about allowing them to experience the power of teaching for themselves. We invited them to imagine what they'd do if they were 'in charge' of the classroom and we asked them to share their ideas with us to be in with a chance of an awesome VR Headset as well as making their dream become a reality.
We are thrilled to announce the winners, Tyler and Owen, who sent similar submissions of what they would do if they were in charge. Their ideas were to set up an educational game of manhunt. They have won VR headsets and we are looking forward to making their ideas a reality! Stay tuned for the result… #IMINCHARGE
The film will be shared on Kent-Teach and social media to motivate potential future teachers to teach in local schools.
