Are you the enthusiastic, experienced and committed teacher we are looking for? Are you a team player who would relish the chance to work alongside friendly professional colleagues in our small primary school?

We  wish to appoint a passionate and highly motivated full time class based teacher for our Upper Keystage 2 Class to cover maternity leave from October 2019 through to the end of May 2020 in the first instance.

We are looking for someone who is dedicated to bringing out the best in all of our children, helping them reach their full potential.

We need:

  • An original and emotionally intelligent classroom practitioner who understands how children learn and is able to reflect this in their own practice to teach our wonderful children
  • An ability to enthuse, engage and motivate the children
  • A commitment to the highest standards of attainment and achievement
  • An ability to communicate well and work actively as part of a team
  • A willingness to further develop and widen your own skills and take on board advice
  • An ability to communicate, work well with and engage with parents
  • An ability to use ICT to effectively enhance learning
  • An experienced teacher, some understanding of mixed age range classes would be advantageous

You will find experienced and supportive colleagues and a culture of encouraging improvement from the Senior Leadership Team.

Subject responsibility will depend on the successful candidate’s skills.

Monkton CEP School is a small and friendly Church of England school with a strong Christian ethos, we have 100 children on roll. The school is set in a fantastic countryside location, on the fringe of Thanet and has a terrific school site.
