Canterbury is a beautiful cathedral city, steeped in history and retains endless and inspiring qualities with its winding lanes and medieval streets. Its stunning scenery includes Canterbury’s skyline dominated by the oldest cathedral in England. 

There are excellent transport links with Canterbury East and West train stations close by as well as Ashford International station, 16 miles from the city. The A2 is within close proximity allowing you easy access to travel. You can visit the border of London in just over one hour or visit Dover, 17 miles away, situated on the coast and consists of Europe’s international ferry port. You can easily travel around the rest of the county or even visit France for the day!

Blean Woods is the largest forest in Kent and stretches across Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable and Faversham, surrounding a number of attractive villages. There are many footpaths and cycle routes allowing you to explore the area as well as making pit stops along your way at local village shops, pubs or restaurants. 

The vibrant city is a primary shopping destination in the South East with its quirky high street shops as well as several well-known chains, catering for a range of people’s needs. Whitefriars Canterbury Shopping Centre opened in 2005 and includes a number of fashion stores. The city also provides a range of cafes and fine dining restaurants serving food from across the globe.
