This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and forward thinking Headteacher to build on our school’s current position (in June 2019, Littlebourne was graded as ''Good'' in all areas by Ofsted) whilst providing the best possible environment for our children to progress and develop. One who inspires and influences others to believe in the importance of education in our children’s lives which in turn is reflected in the children’s attitude to their own learning.

As our new Headteacher, you will need to:

  • Proactively develop and implement innovative ideas in order to drive our school performance with a managed risk approach.

Exhibit an excellent knowledge of how assessment information is effectively used to improve the quality of planning for teaching and learning, whilst creating an effective and stable learning environment, by monitoring the quality and consistency of teaching throughout the school.

Work with colleagues to identify appropriate long term priorities for Littlebourne Primary School, ensuring these continue to inform both the School Plan and the quality of teaching across the school and to evidence the coaching skills needed to transmit these to all those involved in the life of Littlebourne Church of England Primary School.

Throughout the Headteacher role, you will have the full support of an efficient leadership and administrative team, as well as the Governors, who will continue to be a supportive and encouraging body.
