Littlebourne School is very much part of the village community, situated between St Vincent’s Church and the Recreation Ground.

Links with St Vincent’s are strong, celebrating major festivals and providing an excellent teaching resource. Turner’s Orchard is an ancient orchard run by volunteers and freely used by residents, school and pre-school.

The school children have taken part in an annual music event held in the orchard, either singing or playing Ukuleles.

The village hall is situated on the Rec where the children occasionally join the “4 Villages Sing” in joint singing sessions.

Some of the children are members of Beavers, Cubs, Brownies and other groups held in the village hall.

Links with the local residential home are strong. One of the residents is a volunteer in school; and residents are invited to tea.

The village provides an excellent teaching resource, with  numerous opportunities for exploring the local environment.

Cherry Orchard nature reserve within walking distance;  and a newly established forest school in the grounds, provides further learning opportunities for the school and community.
