The role of the Executive Headteacher of the Sheerness West Federation offers the successful candidate opportunities to drive relentlessly forward the Federation of two schools that are located very close to each other. Your leadership of the Federation will ensure that our vision and aspiration is shared with all stakeholders as we move swiftly forward to ensure that all our children can succeed. This is embedded in our ethos that “Dreams come true with a positive view”. 

The Federation has two nurseries and an SRP unit devoted to Speech and Language needs, attached to one of the schools. We also have valued links with the local children’s centre and secondary schools in the area. Both Federation schools were “Good” rated Primary Schools at their last Ofsted inspection, but we are not complacent. Expectations of our EHT are high. Developing improvement across the Federation whilst embracing an outward-facing approach to ensure our responsibilities within the local community are met is a must.

Support for the successful candidate so that they can develop their own skills and career will be available. There are opportunities to network with other organisations through the Kent Headteachers’ Association also the Federation has a number of experienced Senior Staff who will provide support for you within the schools.
