We aim to provide a stable, caring environment in which children are happy to attend and are stimulated and keen to learn and develop their individual potential. We cater for a wide range of ability encouraging all children to achieve at their highest level.

Lady J is a popular, oversubscribed two form entry primary. Our 2015 and 2009 Ofsted awarded us with 'Outstanding' in all areas; concluding that "Outstanding teaching inspires and motivates pupils to work hard in all subjects. As a result, pupils have a passion for learning and take great pride in their achievements" (Ofsted 2015) and describing us as "an outstanding school (where) high expectations coupled with a relentless ambition to be even better ensure that everyone aims for the stars!" (Ofsted 2009).

Children make an excellent start to their education in the early years. The rich and varied experiences enable them to develop an early love of learning. 

Our school has National Support School status and is one of the lead schools initiating the local Teaching school - the Ashford Teaching Alliance - which has been formed to meet the needs and priorities of all the schools in our area.
