Graveney is a small rural village located just east of Faversham in Kent. It lies near the Swale estuary and is known for its scenic marshlands, historic church (St. Bartholomew’s), and proximity to nature reserves, making it popular for walking and birdwatching.Faversham is a market town in England, 48 miles from London and 10 miles from Canterbury, with a strip of sea separating mainland Kent from the Isle of Sheppey in the Thames Estuary.
Faversham’s history goes all the way back to Roman times, being one of the many towns settled in by the Romans in Kent. There is even archaeological evidence to suggest that Faversham was a summer capital for the Saxon kings of Kent.
The historic central area, especially the part-pedestrian parts between the station and the creek, attracts many visitors, who can explore the town's history and features at the Fleur-de-Lis centre, which provides tourist information and houses a museum. There is still a regular market several days each week in the market square where the Guildhall stands. Nearby streets feature old pubs, alms-houses, shops and a growing collection of art galleries and restaurants
Faversham train station has lines going all the way to Bromley South and Victoria, as well as lines to Dover. Again, adding to its history, it is close to the A2, which follows an ancient British trackway which was used by the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons and known as Watling Street.
