Graveney Primary School is a smaller than average school on the outskirts of Faversham, situated between Faversham and Whitstable. We currently have just over 100 pupils on roll, taught within 4 mixed age classes. We believe that our mixed-age classes are a benefit for our school, enabling our staff to really get to know the pupils and give them a personalised learning experience.
As a small school, we have a strong community with our pupils all mixing as a large family. Many of our older pupils take great pride in caring for our new pupils. Our pupils are kind and caring with very few incidents of bullying. Staff are all committed to supporting pupils to ensure that they feel safe and happy – this is when they are able to learn most effectively.
Our aim for all our children at Graveney is to ensure they will:
- Have high expectations of themselves and others at all times
- Have respect for themselves and others in our diverse community as well as the environment.
- Have the confidence to work independently and collaboratively, and to embrace new challenges
- Have an enthusiasm for learning which empowers them to achieve their best in all aspects of life and follow a safe and healthy lifestyle.
- Be able to reflect, evaluate and build upon their experiences at Graveney, with happiness and pride.
