Yalding Primary School has been at the heart of the local community for over 150 years, with multiple generations of families passing through our doors. We take great pride in our rich history and the strong sense of belonging that defines our school.
We currently have 163 pupils taught across seven classes, but from September 2025 we will be returning to 6 classes, with a mixed yr R/1 and yr 1/2. We place a strong emphasis on delivering a broad and engaging curriculum enriched with high-quality music provision and a diverse range of extra-curricular activities. Our pupils are encouraged to explore new interests, develop their talents, and thrive in a fun and supportive environment.
In our most recent
Ofsted inspection (December 2024), we were once again rated ‘
Good’. Inspectors highlighted that our children
feel safe and happy, and they praised the school’s
excellent behaviour standards.
Nestled in a beautiful village between Tonbridge and Maidstone, our school benefits from a large playing field and outstanding outdoor spaces, offering children ample opportunities for physical activity and outdoor learning. Our close ties with St Peter and St Paul Church further strengthen our ethos and values, reinforcing our commitment to spiritual and moral development.
Our staff and pupils love being part of Yalding Primary School, and we would love to welcome you to visit us and experience it for yourself. Come and see what makes our school so special!
