We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and savvy Headteacher for our much loved village school. This individual should have the drive and passion to ignite the minds of our children; positivity in maintaining productive relationships with parents; and who will value the strengths of our excellent staff team, inspiring them to continue to grow and develop.

Although we are a small school, we have big ideas and we expect our Headteacher to be interested in research and to keep abreast of “best practice” as well as actively engaging in professional collaborations in order to help us all to be the best we can be.

- Is passionate about every child thriving in the school environment.

- Has experience of leading with integrity, compassion, creativity, resilience and clarity, and can evidence the positive impact of their leadership.
- Is an excellent communicator; proactive in forging positive relationships across the school community.
- Applies best practice in inclusive education in order to meet the needs of every child.
- Has the ability to exercise strategic financial planning and management to ensure effective deployment of budgets and resources ensuring the school’s sustainability.
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge and understanding of the best in teaching and learning, including strengths in high quality curriculum planning and accurate, purposeful assessment.
- Is keen to continue to learn and welcomes professional development.
