Chilton Primary School is located in the beautiful coastal town of Ramsgate in the district of Thanet.  Home to England’s only Royal Harbour, Ramsgate is an area of with a compelling history and a bright future.  Close to London, and to the Channel ports, with affordable house prices, the town is ideally placed for young families to enjoy seaside living whilst having access to high achieving schooling such as ours.   

Ramsgate has its own micro-climate in the UK and has one of the warmest climates in the UK.  Visitors often feel like they are in the French Riviera with its many waterfront cafes and restaurants looking over the marina. 

There is a whole host of activities linked to the area such as boat trips, water sports and diving as being home to Ramsgate Tunnels, a unique underground city that was constructed before World War Two as part of their Air Raid precautions (Visit Ramsgate, 2017).
