Rochester consists of beautiful scenery and historical buildings including Rochester Cathedral and Rochester Castle. If you’re looking for a spot of exercise as well as lovely surroundings then try a section of the Medway River Walk which runs from Rochester to Tonbridge and includes woodland, orchards, meadows and farmland, where you can enjoy the wildlife. 

For those who love shopping, Rochester comprises of a wide choice of independent specialty shops where you can find something different as opposed to the usual high street names. If you like quality food, every third Sunday of each month, there’s a chance to buy locally produced goods.  

Sport is very popular in the city of Rochester including cricket where there is the Kent Cricket League, Rochester United Football Club not far from the well-known Gillingham F.C, and Holcombe Hockey Club which is one of the largest in the country and based at Holcombe Park.  

Rochester station allows you to get to, London Victoria, Dover and Ramsgate.
