The Governors of Wouldham All Saints C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a new Headteacher. This is a fantastic opportunity, and we are looking for someone who is inspirational, passionate, and dedicated, with significant primary senior leadership experience, to lead us through the next phase in our long history.
Here is what our Year 6 children have to say:
“We believe everyone is different, but everyone can learn and do their best. Our school isn’t a sit down in a chair and work on a table for hours a day type of school. We have an incredible, enthusiastic attitude to learning outdoors and we get so many wider experiences. Our teachers understand that people learn in different ways, and they often put a twist to learning and we have active lessons outside. Learning whilst having fun!
As well as great teaching, there are great friendships and amazing kindness; no-one ever is left to feel lonely and are comforted if sad. We have respect for how we each learn, listen to how each other feels and accept each other. Of course, we are not saying we are perfect, but it is a marvellous school, and it is quite unique - indeed ‘extraordinary’, even. We are renowned for exciting residentials including trips to France, Snowdonia, Bewl Water Outdoor centre, and all sorts of local places. Our PE includes swimming for every year group, climbing and watersports like kayaking and paddle-boarding. Every child gets to take part.
We would love our new headteacher to keep supporting our wider experiences like our residentials, the music lessons and all the extra-curricular activities, because they really help us come on with our learning. Please don’t turn it into the stereotypical school where learning is reduced to sitting at a desk, listening to bland boring words. Keep it as the fun exquisite school we know today”.
Nominally over 150 years old, a large local housing development resulted in a brand new, 2FE school being built on a green field site five years ago. Extensive grounds, energy efficient buildings and extensive resources for outdoor learning (including a fleet of minibuses) mean we are very proud of our school.
The Christian faith is at the core of all we do, so it is essential that the successful candidate can embrace and maintain this. The care and support we offer the children mean we have an excellent reputation in the local community, while the school was rated good at both the latest Ofsted and SIAMs inspections.
Within these values you will be ably supported by our senior leaders, along with a dedicated staff and governing body. Visiting the school is essential, as we want you to see our incredible facilities and meet our wonderful children and staff.
We strongly recommend that all interested candidates visit the school.
Visiting our school will give you the opportunity to meet our current headteacher, staff, pupils and governors. Please contact Daryl Russell, Office Manager, by telephone on 01634 861434 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org, to arrange a visit.
In accordance with current GDPR compliance we will not keep any details/application forms on file once the position is filled.
Please ensure that within your application you provide the names, addresses, and contact details for two referees, one of whom should be your current or most recent employer.
We will look forward to meeting you!
